The UAUT Campaign

Entrusted to Send

The Campaign to Form Africa’s Next Generation of Gospel Leaders

Founded through Korean missionary service, UAUT is educating Tanzanian engineers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and other professionals to join competence with Christian conviction. The next task is to secure the academic and financial strength required to continue that work beyond its founding generation.

A UAUT Education

More Than a Degree

UAUT graduates describe how technical study, Christian formation, character, and service became part of the same education.

A gospel received · A responsibility carried

What Korea received did not end in Korea.

In Korea’s modern history, missionaries invested in churches, schools, universities, hospitals, and people. Korean Christians later became missionaries, educators, institution-builders, and donors themselves. UAUT grew from the pattern in 2 Timothy 2:2: receive what is faithful, entrust it to others, and prepare them to teach and serve in turn.

That commitment built a university. Its next chapter requires a broader and more durable financial foundation.Read the full founding story

Built in Tanzania · consequential beyond it

754MChristians were estimated to live in Africa in 2025, more than on any other continent.

The university is already at work.

The people educated across Africa now will shape churches, professions, families, and institutions for decades. Tanzania’s place within East Africa makes the quality of that preparation consequential beyond one campus.

Why UAUT

Professional competence and Christian conviction, held together.

At UAUT, the term “Gospel leaders” includes engineers, researchers, entrepreneurs, educators, and other professionals whose faith shapes how they work, decide, and serve.

Professional study is joined to hands-on learning, close faculty guidance, chapel, Bible study, practical training, and Serving Others. Alumni describe engineering learned through equipment and practice, service undertaken beyond campus, and faith becoming a framework for professional responsibility.

The unfinished transition

The educational work has advanced further than the financial structure beneath it.

UAUT has worked to keep tuition within reach. But accessible education and excellent education do not cost the same thing. Faculty, equipment, laboratories, facilities, student support, maintenance, and institutional capacity require capital that tuition alone cannot provide.

The U.S. campaign

The Entrusted Fund is the first coordinated U.S. fundraising effort for UAUT. This initial phase is building a broader community of supporters around four institutional priorities: academic strength, learning environments, student access and formation, and innovation and service.

What will be entrusted to the next generation?

Help build a university capable of forming—and sending—generations.

A legacy was received. A university was built. Its graduates are beginning to show what the model can produce. Now comes the work of building a stronger foundation beneath it.
